How to live your best life with Parkinson’s, webinar, global

Neuroplastic exercise programme PD Warrior is hosting an online webinar to showcase its signature 10-week exercise challenge. The session is free of charge, and will feature PD Warrior founder and specialist neurological physiotherapist Melissa McConaghy.

2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, Florida, US

Join Team Fox for a magical weekend at Walt Disney World to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s. The four-day event will include a number of races – from 5ks to a half marathon – with all team members receiving a running singlet, a personalised fundraising page and initiations to weekend activities.

Winter Walk, London, UK

Start the year right with a 20km walk through England’s capital, enjoying iconic landmarks including Tower Bridge, the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben in aid of Parkinson’s UK. All participants will be met at the finish line with refreshments and a medal.

Parkinson’s Day at Parkside, Ohio, US

The Parkinson’s Foundation is inviting the Parkinson’s community to join them for a day of lunch, presentations and a sing-along session. The day is free to attend and will be hosted at Parkside Village Senior Living.

Miami Marathon, Florida, US

Push yourself to the limit this January by joining the Parkinson’s Foundation for the Miami Marathon, taking in the beautiful beaches, stunning cruise ships and Art Deco buildings that the city has to offer. Runners must commit to raising a minimum US $1,500.

Community Talk, Vancouver, Canada 

The end of the month will see the Parkinson Society British Columbia host occupational therapists Gina Fernandez and Karisa Teindl to discuss the effects of anxiety on the willingness to exercise. The session is open to all and will be held at the Sunset Community Centre.
