‘Connecting the dots: 1 in 20 Parkinson’s’, Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham, London, UK

UK-based photographer and filmmaker David Sangster travels around the UK documenting the lives of people with Parkinson’s to get a true picture of what challenges are faced on a day-to-day basis. He aims to showcase footage at various events during Parkinson’s Awareness Week in April.

Walk the Fight & Run the Distance, Tempe, Arizona, US

The 10th Annual the walk/run offers those with the Parkinson’s, their families and the community a fun event for all ages. The course is 5km and there’s also a resource fair to browse, with demonstrations of alternative exercises for those unable to run.

The Chicago Professionals for Parkinson’s Research host their bi-annual party to raise funds committed to raising funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Join them to have fun and support loved ones living with Parkinson’s disease.

Join WPC Ambassadors Ryan Tripp and Dr Soania Mathur, along with NBA and WNBA stars as they shine the spotlight on Parkinson’s at the All-Star Jam in Toronto. Parkinson Canada encourages the most avid hoops fans in to come out and get moving.

Austin Half Marathon and Marathon, Texas, US

Cheer on runners raising money for Parkinson’s disease charities. This year’s race begins at 2nd and Congress Avenue adjacent to the JW Marriott Hotel. Runners are afforded a long, straight shot across the Ann B. Richards Bridge, down South Congress Avenue before coming to the first turn three miles into the race.

Parkinson’s UK, Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia

Join Parkinson’s UK on a cycling adventure through the rice paddies and waterways of the lush Mekong Delta in Vietnam, and then into Cambodia. Eight days of cycling. Registration fee £399 and the minimum sponsorship target is £3,450.

Mission Possible: Punching Out Parkinson’s 4th annual fundraiser, Fort Worth, Texas, US

The keynote speaker will be Rich Clifford, former NASA Astronaut who had a secret battle with Parkinson’s during his space travels. The event includes dinner and a silent auction with a variety of sponsorship packages starting from Comet Level at $100, ranging to Galaxy Level at $10,000.

Run for Parkinson’s, Cardiff, Wales

Help Parkinson’s UK raise money to improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s by running the St David’s Run in Cardiff. Routes are 1 km, 5 km or 10 km and all runners will receive a breathable running vest.
